In my photo series "Reflections: an Unveiling," I explore the roller coaster  journey of self-discovery and transformation through a blend of themes. The series interweaves the raw emotions that can often cloud our vision; those intense moments that lead to both breakdowns and breakthroughs, as well as profound revelations. It also delves into the idea that true change and growth start from within, emphasizing the power of introspection and self-acceptance in shaping our narratives. Finally, the series celebrates the inner strength that allows us to overcome obstacles, emerging stronger and more empowered.

Throughout the work, I examine the concept of masks and how they relate to our inner journey. The masks we wear often reflect the roles we play and the personas we project, yet they can also become barriers, preventing us from fully understanding and accepting our true selves. This series is not divided into distinct phases but rather integrates these themes throughout, offering a cohesive reflection on the complexities of personal growth and the unveiling of our true essence.

I created each shot in-camera using traditional methods – lighting, mirrors, angles. Being hands-on is part of the process and catharsis for me.
